The thing about giving one person so much power is that the only people who want to accept it are the ones who are hungry for that much power, and in Hilary's case, attention, and will do anything to keep it as long as they can. In other words, the ones who will claim responsibility for their country will always be the absolute worst people for the job.

You can build up your world-conquering forces in Antarctica. I'm pretty sure it's unclaimed. Not enough population? Build robots... with knives and sickles for hands. And cold-fusion reactors for heads that implode far too often to be practical.

The nuclear war will lead America to be a wasteland, and radiation levels soaring way over everybody's heads. That will lead to either 2 things: space civilization, or underground civilization. There cant be a leader of the world for there is never just one superpower. Something will always be there to counter the other. Antarctica has several colonies belonging to: USA, Russia, Germany, France, and the UK. These are minor camps, and a cold fusion reactor in Antarctica wouldn't last over 5 seconds with the high pressure winds. I am Maverick, and i am a disprove.
