Who is your favorite super hero? Please name one super hero, not a team. For instance if your favorite super hero is a member of the X-Men, do not say X-men, but say which member of the X-men is your favorite.
Mine is Batman.

Does Sephiroth count as a superhero if I look up to him and think of the things he does as good?

Well A SuperHero is basically defined as someone with unusual powers/abilities who fights evil.
Here is a definition of the term super hero from dictionary.com:
1 entry found for superhero. su·per·he·ro ( P ) Pronunciation Key (spr-hîr) n. pl. su·per·he·roes A figure, especially in a comic strip or cartoon, endowed with superhuman powers and usually portrayed as fighting evil or crime
Now generally, I have always considered a super hero a figure like Batman, Spiderman or Superman, someone who has special powers (though in Batmans case, not special powers, but a special suit and gadgets) who fights villians who also have special powers. In addition to this, they are always saving average citizens from danger. So for instance, someone like Optimus Prime, although most certainly a Heroic figure, would not fall into this category because Transformers is more of a fighting show, rather than a superhero fighting crime and protecting a city, which is the case in shows like Batman, Spiderman, and Superman.
It really depends on what this Sephiroth character does, and if he does any of the things I listed above.

Genetically engineered superwarrior, so hes got the abilities... but... Errr.... Less of saving people, more of slashing everyone he meets to pieces with an 8-foot katana.

They save people? If killing people who might kill other people counts as saving, then Sephiroth is a hero.

Dude!!! Super hero!? DUDE! I used to luv super hero's as a kid! My fav super hero is u count game ppl as one then i woudl go with Thrall from Blizzerds Warcraft series. Thrall is basicly the leader of the orcs, and fights the humans/undead. He did ally with the humans and night elves in warcraft 3, showing he is a good person... Im currently reading the Warcraft book: The Diarys of Thrall, wich is a 680 page book starting from Warcraft2 when he was just a footsoldier going to World Of Warcaft: The Burning Crusade, wich isnt even out yet. Technicly he does have powers, cuz he uses magic in the series....
But if your speaking comic strip wise, totaly gotta go with Batman. He kicks serious ass!

How about we have this thread more geared towards comic-book super heroes, and then we can have another thread for favorite fictional heroes and villians.

Mine is Superman. The old Superman, when he was created right after Pearl Harbor. Americans needed a super hero during WWII and he was it. And besides he could kick Batman's butt. (provided Batman didn't have any Kryptonite) oh yeah what is Batman's weakness? Women? LOL I don't know but I would like to know. ;D
